I teach both secular and Christ centred Childbirth Education classes. My classes are offered in both a small group (3-6 couples) or a private setting.

(including Natural Childbirth and Medications used in Childbirth),

PRIVATE CLASSES

I also teach secular and Christian Childbirth classes in a private setting. If you are unable to commit to attending a six week group series or would prefer a one-on-one class, please Contact Me so we can discuss your particular needs. The topics above are/can be covered although I tailor my private classes to concentrate on the areas that YOU would like covered. I am willing to teach in your own home or in mine. All we need is a comfortable sitting area with a little room to move (to practice comfort measures and positions for labour).!

CLASSES UNDER DEVELOPMENT

Early Pregnancy Class

This class will be one session discussing nutrition, exercise and what to expect throughout the upcoming months. This class is not to replace the care and information provided by your Care Provider but to help you prepare for the changes, challenges and decisions that you may need to make earlier than a traditional Prenatal Education Series would allow for. It is recommended that you choose to attend this session in your first trimester or early in your second trimester.

Sibling Preparation Class

Many couples are unsure when and how to prepare their children for the arrival of a new brother or sister. This class is a non threatening opportunity for your child to listen to stories, ask questions and learn a little about their new baby. This class is tailored to your particular circumstance, whether you are planning a home or hospital birth, and will be personalised to suit the ages of your children. Parents attend with their children so they are able to anticipate and answer any questions that may arise in the days and weeks after the class and when your new baby arrives.

Refresher Class

Have you already had a child? Have your circumstances changed since you attended a class? Are you wanting to learn different methods and techniques to cope with labour or to achieve a different experience to your prior births? Then you may be interested in a refresher class. Depending on the number of clients enrolled and the topics to be covered, this class will run over 2-3 weeks. Please Contact Me for more information.

Inviting Christ to Your Birth

Have you already attended a secular Childbirth Education Series? Would you like to learn how to draw on your faith and deepen your relationship with your Heavenly Father for the remainder of your pregnancy and 'Invite Christ to Your Birth'? This class assumes basic knowledge of pregnancy and birth. By delving into God's word and remembering that God designed us and the birth process and utilising scripture passages and prayer, you will see that God can and should play a large role in the birth of your little blessing.
